Dear Parents

"Green Powered Goblin Car" - visit to Darley Moor Circuit and Project - Wednesday 20th May

A letter was sent home earlier this week to any year 6 child who will be transferring to Thistley Hough High School in September 2009. We ask all parents to return the form no later than Monday 11th May 2009. This is an excellent opportunity for the children to meet some staff and children from Thistley Hough and have a fun day out too! There is no fee involved for this trip as Thistley Hough will be providing transport for the children and will drop the children back to Thistley Hough High School for 3.30pm. Don't forget that your child will need to bring a packed lunch unless they are entitled to free school meals, in which case a lunch will be provided by the school

After School Sports Club and Activities

If your child normally attends an after school club plese ensure that you have clarified any collection arrangements with them on the day that the club is held.

We are receiving an increasingly high number of phone calls asking us to check whether children want to stay and also requests from children asking us to phone parents because they have changed their mind about staying. Although we don't mind calling home or checking with children as a one-off or as result of an emergency aat home, we would appreciate that any such requests are kept to a minimum. This is important for the safety of your child as coaches can be clear about which children should be attending and when.

Swimming Classes - Years 5 and 6

Just to reminder that all children in years 5 and 6 have now started swimming lessons at Trentham High School. Please ensure that your child has swimming trunks/costume, towel and a swimming cap on Monday.

Wednesday 8th July - Nursery visit to Parkhall Country Park
Thursday 9th July - Reception visit to Parkhall Country Park
Friday 17th July - School closes for summer holiday
